Fake Collar. #ivegotmail #wishapp

Another parcel arrived today! I thought it was my Nucerity package that I’ve been waiting for weeks but as it turns out, it was this!

It’s called the “Fashion Blouse False Collar”.

The material is soft but I don’t know whats it called, not too sheer so it still looks good.

I was having a hard time trying to get a sleeveless collared shirt around town and so I decided to just get this online from the Wish App. I really wanted this just for the sake of having a white collared shirt that I could use to take a photo ID with. In Malaysia and apparently also in the Philippines, passport photos must be taken with a collared shirt. No idea what the logic behind it is. Looks more formal? professional? whatever.

It does make me look smart. Doesn’t it? 🤓

Little Mermaid Pillow Case.

Bought this Pillow Case from the Wish App for only ND5.00 because the item itself was Free and I just had to pay for the shipping cost. Ordered it on May 20, and it took almost a month to arrive. The material was exactly as described, although touching the material now, I am not sure if I can wash it first before using it. So I decided not to wash it just to be on the safe side. At least until it gets too dirty and I might have no choice but have to hand wash it.

Since the product did not include a pillow, I got myself the pillow cushion from those Japan Home Centre type of stores that sells 3 items for $10, only this pillow cushion was not part of the deal. So I had to get it at $6.99 for a standard 45×45 sized pillow. I did find it quite expensive, I mean, I would’ve expect it to be $5.00 but well, its better than $45 I guess. (saw one in Farmers for $45)

As usual, a trip to these Japanese stores would not be complete if I didn’t get something I didn’t really need, but would be nice to have. I got myself a mobile phone stand, ear plug covers and a digital kitchen timer!

First ever dress bought online!

I don’t usually buy clothes online, knowing how my curves abd edges are not exactly standard size you know. So when I do try to get clothes online, it’s either things that are stretchy and an easy fit that you can’t go wrong like socks and t shirts.

I saw this maxi dress on the Wish shopping app, and I just loved this vintage patterned dress. I don’t know if I am brave enough to wear this outside of my home but I can try I suppose 😜

I spent around $28 (includind shipping) for this dress and I thought that was fair enough. Am quite happy with this purchase really, given its my first time buying clothes online.

Now I just need to figure out when and how wiuld I wear this without looking like I’m wearing a table cloth or curtains 😏

If all fails, this would really be a nice nightgown too! 😂

More spending. #urgh

Cotton on sports bra, $35  for two. What a deal right? I don’t know whats worse. Retail therapy? Or stress eating. Urgh.

I have not been watching my weight and health in general these days. Its all just work work work work work~ and not the booty shaking, all out sweat kind of “work” but the kind that makes your eye sight worse and your bum stuck to a chair all day.

I really have no excuse for this. I find that it was mostly because I feel obliged to do overtime and get work done because I am paid to do it, rather than back in the day when I was just volunteering, I could leave work on time and not feel bad for it because I don’t get paid for it anyway.

So here I am stuck with my fat overweight body and no time to do any other sports activity. I am definitely making up excuses here. So why bother getting the sports bra you say? Well, I only got it to wear at home comfortably. I didn’t even bother to try it out when I got to the store. Just picked the largest size around, (was looking for XL by the way) and “Large” was the only one left.

Off I went and spent 35 bucks for the two sports bra and an extra 2 bucks for a tote bag that I got which was suppose to be a donation. I don’t know how true that is, but if they are trying to get more sales by telling customers that its for a good cause, thats a pretty tricky strategy.

Impulse Buying got to me.

Got myself the iPhone 6 Plus today. I know I know, I just got my Note 5 months ago so why did I buy myself another phone?? Let me get to the beginning of the story…

I woke up yesterday to a phone that had completely ran out of juice. It died on me. I thought having 30% battery from the night before would last overnight until it would wake me up with an alarm but I was wrong.

So I got up, charged my phone as usual and went on to get ready for class. After the whole time of showering and changing, I didn’t realise my phone was not charging! It just didn’t want to charge! I was already late for class so I figured it could be a temporary glitch and went on to class.

After arriving at class, I tried to charge the phone again, and once more, it was not working! It kept showing me 0% and a green blinking light was indicated near the charging port. I reckon it was something wrong with the hardware. So I just had to try and use other power banks to charge it but it still didn’t work.

It was so frustrating. In this day and age, not having a smartphone just feels like I am incomplete. Like I am missing something. I needed to have a way to be connected to the world and the world to me. It seems so strange. Back when I was a 14 years-old student, hanging around school after classes ended, I didn’t even needed a phone to have my mom know where to find me. I would call from a pay phone and dial her office, tell her to come at what time and where, and just BE THERE as agreed.

Aaaaanyway, being the impatient person that I am, I knew that if I took the phone back to where I bought it for a warranty claim, it would take days. So I was determined, that I was gonna solve my problem the easiest way I knew how.

Just buy a new phone.

And amazingly, Saj managed to convince me to not buy a new phone but to take it to the warranty shop just to be sure. I hesitantly obliged.

When we got to the shop, the sales guy managed to get my phone to start up and started charging again! He said that it could be just the charger that we needed to replace, especially when the phone is completely out of juice, we would need a charger thats on a FAST charger that powers up the phone at at least 10Aamp.

So at that point, I didn’t really needed to get a new phone. So I went on to the next half day of my class feeling quite satisfied that I didn’t need to get a new phone although I had already gotten quite excited about having an excuse to buy a new phone, an iPhone in fact.

Then right in the middle of the class, Saj texted me and told me HE got a new iPhone! The iPhone 6 Plus 128GB which was selling for only $1,099! I got so excited that I wanted to get it too! I mean, it was after all, 128GB!!! Compared to my mere 32GB on my Samsung Note. And all the while in my mind, I thought it was the iPhone 6S that he was talking about. I even went to Vodafone right away after class, only to find that the shop had already closed at 4pm. Disappointed but I told myself, I would get it the next day after church.

I didn’t realise it until I bought the phone today at the shop that it was iPhone 6 Plus and not 6S Plus all along. And mind you, even with the new iPhone 7 coming up in the next few months, iPhone 6S Plus was still selling for up to 1.8K for the 128GB !

So I bought the phone anyway since it was still worth it with 128GB and I did needed another spare phone to use in case of emergencies. I wasn’t sure if my Note 5 was gonna fail on me. But I am quite happy with the Note 5 so far. If Note 6 comes along, I may even consider upgrading!

Samsung Newbie. #newtoy #note5

image

Bought myself a new smartphone! Finally!!!! After a few days of going back and forth between a few Samsung models, I finally settled with this one. Which was really what I had my eyes set on from even before I was even considering to buy a new phone. I’m talking about the Note series of course.

My Cherry Boom Boom is still working fine really. I mean, I just finally had the excuse to get a new phone after waiting for Cherry to be outdated. Smartphones nowadays are really quick to “expire” and you reach a point where you keep updating the apps and the OS itself can’t keep up with the apps anymore. Cherry still works fine in terms of the apps, the only problem I had with it was that the SD Card suddenly stopped working. I couldn’t take any photos since it wouldn’t allow me to save the photos to the memory card. I tried reformatting the card, and when I pop it back in the phone, all the deleted files just magically came back! Even after factory resetting the phone, the SD Card was still not working for me. I gave up. So I had to compromise and even if there was no expandable memory for the Note 5, I just have to deal with it and find alternative solutions.

The box came with a European charger so the sales lady gave me an extra NZ socket for it. Also has a headphone too!

I’m so eggzoited!!!!

The price tag on this baby? NZ$1,079 inclusive GST. And I paid an additional 10 bucks for the screen protector. Pricey? Well, kinda, but I think that’s the best option for me for now. Not too high end that it burns my pocket too much, but yet not too low on the tech scale that it would be outdated too soon. I was this close to crazy buying and wanted to just go for the recently released Samsung S7 Edge, but I kept going back and forth thinking I really didn’t like the EDGE part of the screen, and not to mention that it was just a 5.5 inch display and not a 5.7 inch display. I mean, people will say that’s not a big difference but when you have old people eyes like mine, a bigger screen makes all the difference!

My first choice was really to go for the A7-2016 model as recommended by a friend. But I could’t handle waiting for the stock to arrive. Apparently it was a very popular phone around here and it’s always sold out. I would’ve wanted to wait for it if it was not because of my Cherry’s micro sd function failing me. But then again, I was also still drawn by the Note 5 being so suited for how I use my smartphones as my planner and life manager. Like really, I even record my period days using a period tracker app!

So yea, I think the Note 5 will be good for me.  🙂

New Kicks for New Year’s. #nike #chucks #retailtherapy

image

Finally took the plunge and got myself new kicks for the New Year. And not just 1, but 2 pairs of shoes for me, myself and I.

image

Been eye-ing this pink-amber chuck taylors for weeks now, but I kept stalling and telling myself to wait until my old pair of $15 dollar Warehouse shoes fall apart and get worn out. But today, I was feeling a bit down and low so I decided to use retail therapy to fix my blues away.

Aside from the chucks, I knew I wanted the Adidas shoes but since they didn’t have it in my size, I figured I should get the New Balance walking shoes, and based on the sales lady, Isabella’s recommendation, I got the Nike one with a pink logo and some maroon on the back which was what she suggested I should get.

The Nike costed me $120 and the chucks were $109. Very pricey if you ask me but it had got to be done. At least it was both on Sale.

Happy New Year to me!!

Gardening Goodies! 🌱🌾🌿🍆#splurge #newbie #iwantgreenhands

After lunch at KFC with the connect group, I made a shameless request to my ride back to the city, Abby and Aashish if we could stop by a store where they sell gardening stuff. I wanted to get a pack of soil so I can continue to grow my potted plants in the flat.

They are so kind and took me to THE Bunnings store. It’s like THE place to find all things gardening, and of course, other manly stuff too so it was also a good stop for Aashish who is working on his painting business too.

And I went crazy! Splurged on an insect gun, 3 plastic pots, a ‘vitamin’ for my plants and some packet of tomato and radish seeds! Maann.. that was 52 dollars worth of investment on some future potential lettuces and vegetables!
image

I also got myself a big pack of 25L Garden Mix soil so I can add more soil when needed and also so I won’t have to keep coming back or looking for places to get soil from again since gardening items like this is really hard to come by around the city center.

image

image

The plastic pots I really needed to get because the previously used instant noodles cup was not draining the water well enough and I see it kinda stop growing. I think I should’ve placed more larger holes through the container but let’s hope in the next round I could do better.

Thank You Lord for Abby and Aashish! Yay for occasional suburb visits! hehehehehe

December Blues.

image

How blue can you get? Cobalt Blue.

Because of the new month, and the last month of the year, I decided to celebrate it with a little shopping. Just a little, not too much.

I felt like I was running out of tops to wear since the last time I bought the Coral and Green shirts, I still felt like I didn’t have enough to wear in the week. The weather is getting really warm too so I needed to get more lightweight apparel. So much for being in a colder country but still not getting any of the “White Christmas” feels. But its alright 🙂

This piece was a $15 dollar buy at Warehouse. I think it was on a promotional price but I can’t really tell. I mean for a $15 here, the material feels like I can get this from back home at an RM15 price too. 🙄

Oh well. Hello, December!
