Team Achieve versus Team NTEC. #bowling #afterworkhours #officeouting

Loving our boss for this!! What a way to wrap up the work week just before the new term starts next week.

Aimee arranged for the whole team Achieve and team NTEC accounting staffs to go on a bowling activity for team bonding. So cool of her for organizing this. It was also awesome that we didn’t have to go far, just down the Event Center where the cinema was at is Metrolanes.

For the weekends, the price was a bit high, about 15 dollars for the first game per person, then 12 dollars for the next game. That already includes the shoes though. There were 10 of us, including Nick’s mom who was in town and came to join us. She is one active mama too! Not afraid to bowl and show off some good skills!

It’s been awhile since I last played bowling, I think that was just before leaving for NZ when I had bowling with the fam bam at 1 Borneo. I always look forward to activities like this cos it really helps to bond people together and its also so much fun! See how much fun Khaleed and Saj were having in this photo? High five to newbie Saj!

And we have to have a team photo to showcase our vibrant side even as accountants. Hehehehe! With Nick, Khaleed, Aimee, Saj, Pavel, Elwin, Ting and Marina (Nick’s mom).

We started at about 6:30pm and finished two games of 10 people with a vegetarian pizza by around 7:45pm. Twas a good game I say, good game! First round the NTEC people won because Merwyn was so good and kept striking, while I was just on my warm up and was so terrible and kept shooting into the gutter. But the next round I was all pumped up and did so much better and it helped the Team Achieve to win the second round! Well, plus Merwyn left the NTEC team after the first round, guess that helped too and that’s why he wasn’t in the group photo! Hehehehe.

Scores halfway through the first round. How bad was I? Terrible!! At the 9th round and I was only on a score of 57! Waaattt…. tsk tsk

Thank You Lord for the blessing of a cool boss!

Work Hard, Play Harder. #Rummy-O #boardgames

This looks like our kind of “overtime”. With our boss Aimee (the coolest boss ever!), Khaleed and Saj at one of the meeting rooms having an intense round of Rummy O.

Proud to say that out of the 3 rounds we played, I managed to win one of it!

But really, these players take the game so seriously that this takes us up to one hour per round! We only left the office at 8:30pm!

Rummy-O Night! #boardgames #Saturday

Hang out session at Saj and the gang’s. Saj’s flatmates are so welcoming and generous, feeding me with all the glorious Indian food and spices and opening my eyes to lots of insights into their rich culture. Spent the whole day at their crib just chillin’, watching movies, eating and playing Rummy-O. Such fun loving and cool people they are, here with Saj, Harry, Prachi and Nik.

It was a rainy Saturday, all day. So nothing much we could do outdoors, I am so glad we got to do something fun even indoors, on my second day into 2016. Thank You Lord for awesome friends and company 🙂

Happy Birthday Varsha! #birthdaygirl #newYearbaby

The very lovely and elegant Varsha invited me over for dinner and another celebration of her glorious 25th birthday. It was New Year’s day after all.  I spent all day just staying in bed and not doing anything much aside from greeting people and chatting with them over WhatsApp and what not. By the time I arrived at her place, it was already 8pm.

The groufie! With Sasha, Aadi, Oppie, Birthday girl Varsha, Analyn, Juhi and Shubam.

We started off with a quick group photo session, and then headed straight for the food! Aadi cooked some really awesome chicken curry and I wish I could have more but I didn’t have any work out today so I wanted to make sure I am still on track with my new year’s resolution.

There was also a tofu dish and dessert (rice cooked with coconut and the sweetness level was just right! I forgot what it was called though) made by Juhi, and also tasted great, and again I wished I could have more, I just drowned the rest of my longing and desire for good food with a lot of booze and dancing.

It was a simple gathering of a few of us, and I hoped we had made a memorable 25th birthday for Varsha. She did mentioned that she was missing her family and boyfie very much this time and it’s hard to show more excitement than you really feel even if it’s your birthday, so I understand, and hope that we managed to bring a bit of joy to her special day.
