Intervention / Workshop.

Totally not what we expected when they said an “intervention” was going to d
happen in the team but I guess this workshop was good for us. Plus it was actually interesting and fun! Free food was also a plus!

Lord of Family #JesusSaidThat

26 “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.

Luke 14:26-27

Learned 5 things about Discipleship from Pastor Steve Cadd on this topic today.

1) Discipleship is not optional
(theres no two standards, to be a Christian is to be a disciple. Can’t say you’re a Christian but not a “complete” Christian.)
2) Discipleship is the right ordering of our ‘loves’
To Love Him more than any other ‘loves’ in our lives. Family love, friendship love, romantic love..
Romans 5:3-5 (Poured out His love)

The key of everything is: The right ordering of our Loves. -Augustine
The “Overwhelming” love of God.
3) Giving up your life plans.
Faith doesn’t start until you have no more resources. That’s when you will learn to live by faith and completely surrender to God.
4) Identify with Christ

Ukay Ukay Galore.

It’s been awhile since I last shopped in a second hand store. I almost went overboard but thank goodness I managed to have some self control and stopped myself from spending more than Php 450.

Baggy pants garterized. I’m gonna make this my fat pants. This was only for 55 pesos!

image

Sweat pants 1, also 55 pesos. Thought of wearing this during times when I just need something to cover up while I sit around the lounge area using the internet.

image

Sweat pants No. 2 grey colored and I know I had one already but I couldn’t resist this grey color sweat pants. And its comfy too! But this was from another store and it was a bit more pricey, 170 pesos.

And finally, a printed flare baggy pants thats made in Thailand, again, I think its pricey at 170 pesos. I just thought this was cool for the hot weather and something quirky and comfortable at the same time.

Friendships are defined by these. #sistersinChrist #bffs

email

Dear Pam,

We get so caught up with our every day routine and I am so sorry that we don’t get to hang out like before (reminisce back to 2012, 2013).
I just want you to know that you are one of my few treasured friends and I want this friendship to stand the test of time and of space. Every so often I catch myself thinking about you, and Jhwen, and Margie, and Mincy and the times when we were all so happy and giddy and excited to see each other and make kwento. I always get nostalgic. I keep you all in my short prayers, especially you.
Pam, even though you sometimes may feel like it, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I am here for you. In times when I can’t be with you physically, you are in my prayers, in my head, in my heart.
Don’t ever for one second think that you might be bothering me or that I don’t have space for you in my life anymore.
I love you, Pam. I have learned to care for you through these years and I decided to always will. Thank you for the gift of friendship. Thank you for being a true model of faith and of strength that doesn’t come from ourselves but from our God.
Much Love,
Belle
Now this is the kind of friendships that I treasure. It’s really lovely to be surprised by little things like this that may not seem much to some but it means a lot to me. I get encouraged, inspired, and most of all, feel appreciated and so loved. I haven’t thought of what to say to her back. I mean, I am not one gifted with fancy and touching words, I just SHOW love cos that’s what I do best.
Father, thank You for friends like Jobelle. Thank You for showing Your love to me through her. I could not have asked for a better friend. She’s Your angel.
