Food Trip

So this is the second time I’m trying to tell this story. My pc asked me to restart and I clicked away without looking. Hence, the un-saved over 200 words earlier. Don’t you just hate it when that happens???

Anyhoo.. I don’t think I can re-call most of what was going through my head earlier. But here’s just a re-cap of what I been up to lately BESIDES work..

I love food, I love eating, eating lifts me up when I’m down. And yes, I am an emotional eater. Whether I’m sad or happy, I just tend to eat, non stop. Like there is no stop button to stuffing food into my mouth. (I can assure you this paragraph wasn’t meant to come out this way earlier on…)

I was talking about stumbling upon opportunities and random chances of spontaneity whenever I could cheat on my diet. And the other day when my 2 collegues and I head to Chinatown to re-stock on “items-you-can-only-get-at-Chinatown”, we came accross a random Beef Noodle House which was very Chinese-like. And since it was the first time for all of us, we each ordered something different from each other so that we’d get to try the other stuffs in the menu too.

The serving for my Chow Mien was good for 2! I coudn’t finish it .. and it all just went to waste cos neither of my collegues could help out cos their serving was too much for themselves too. The taste wasn’t super-awesome but good enough for what they call has the Chinese food flavor.

Just earlier today, I was on my way to the office for a short meeting. A waiter handed a flyer to me and it was one of those times that I was actually interested in what they guy was going to inform me. And I was always curious about this resto mainly because of the name “RELISH AT PONTE”, am not sure what language that is in. Also because it looked pretty luxurious. So I was quite happy to know that their price was pretty reasonable.

So after meeting, I went on to have my dinner there alone. The place was small but because of all the mirror around it, it seemed larger than it actually was. There were already a number of guests there when I got in around 8:45pm and I ordered a Gambas (Shrimp) and a Lamb Shank. Had Lemonade with Mint herb sprinkled on top. The Lamb Shank was rather salty though however, overall it’s ok, I wouldn’t mind going there again to try their other stuff. I was most satisfied with their dessert though. Chocolate Cookie Dough Cheesecake! So frick’n yummy I could almost die.

And now I have to think of how I could get rid of all that calorie I just pound in.
