Of Tattoos and Piercings

Accompanied a friend of mine to get his tattoo done last night. He had a really gay tattoo on his left arm of a cross with a blue rose that he got done while he was drunk apparently.

It wasn’t the first time I witness people getting their tattoos done. BJJ Borneo’s logo was tattoo-ed on one of its students on New Year’s day 2008!

I personally don’t have any tattoos of my own. I have thought of getting one before but I just don’t like stains on my body. Heck, I can’t even stand having pen marks on me let alone ink on my wounds??!! On top of that, there are tons of tattoos out there that are really fancy shmancy that it looks good close up but from afar it just looks very darn messy! Here’s an example of wats HOT and wats NOT.

This is NOT. Too much color. Looks like he got skin disease. Messy.

And most of all, I can’t get a tattoo cos my mom would slaughter and skin me alive.

I wouldn’t mind getting temporary tattoos tho. At least when I get bored of it then I can just wait till it fades off !

But if I really wanna get a tattoo, I’d most likely would want to get a simple scorpio design, on my wrist on the inner side.. Why? Cos my horoscope is scorpio, and scorpio is like, the coolest horoscope!!!

Another tattoo design that I wouldn’t mind is like the tv show L.A. Ink, with Kat Von D the lady tattoo-ist. She’s da bomb.. I like the tattoo right around her forehead and eyes.. that looks really cool and yet not too messy..

I may not have Tattoos, but I do have piercings. Other than the usual and common ear piercings, which I have 3 on each side, and in addition, 2 more on the soft bone at the top of my left ear. Then I have my eyebrow piercing, got it way back in 2001 in KL. Nothing fancy with my piercings too. I don’t have a tongue or nipple ring mind u.. I like it clean and simple. And thats how far I’d go.. no more piercings for me!! People often asked me why I didn’t get any on my nose, simple, I have a very sensitive nose.

So here’s how painful the tattooing process is, my mate’s arms started bleeding (which actually looked good with the design in a twisted way! )

And after a loooong 4 hours of self torture and intolerable pain..I must say, the tattooist did a pretty impressive job! Here’s a BEFORE / AFTER shot for comparison..
