January 2008 Highlights

So its the 31st of Jan. An end to the first month of 2008. Here’s my highlights for the month.

5th Jan ‘08 :

Brought my kitten Brownie to the Vet and met Dr Mary. Really nice doc and I love the way she handles the furry friends.. Definately will take Brownie back to see her again soon.

6th Jan ‘08 :

Watched “The Bucket List” on dvd with Al. My review, 4 / 5 star rating just bcos of the amazing power of the actors in it. And also cos it made me cry so hard!! But a lot of talking tho..

8th Jan ‘08 :

Uni registration for my last semester. Can’t wait to graduate soon!!!!

Enoch dislocated his toe while wrestling with Al on this day at jujits. Its just a toe. No biggie. He can dislocate it again anytime!! HAHAHAHA

9th Jan ‘08 :

Watched “I am Legend” at GSC with Al. My review, 2 / 5 star rating. I knew the storyline already so expectations were very low. We just wanted to see it cos it was Will Smith. Am personally not a big fan of zombie movies.. heh.

12th Jan ‘08 :

I was exposed to the AGEL MLM concept. I’m a huge skeptic of shit like this cos I been growing up with a lot of failed attempts by my mum. So its a NO for me.

16th Jan ‘08 :

I became Pam, the girl who works for the Insurance Agent company instead of Pam, the girl who works in a Kindergarten.

19th Jan ‘08 :

Nathaneal Tompo’s wedding reception at the KDCA. Simple, with lots of cultural performances. Its really nice to see some orang putih wearing our traditional Kadazan attire.

21st Jan ‘08 :

Watched “Cloverfield” at Growball. I’d give it a 2.5 / 5 star rating. First 20 mins of the movie seemed like a teen flick.. hated the ending cos they never explained what was that shit.

26th Jan ‘08 :

Weight check – 51 kg

Bummer. After so long.. it seems to be stagnating.. I need to lose more weight!! I need to go to my ideal 48 kg!!

27th Jan ‘08 :

Rare quality time with family at Warisan Square. Had ice cream in Veda Blu and lunch at Secret Recipe with my sister & family. Here’s my fav shot for that moment. My 2 beautiful nieces having some sisterly love! Chloe was there too..

In the evening watched “RAMBO 4″ with Al, Genn & Irene. This guy is really trying hard to make a come back huh.. its a rather simple and straight forward storyline. Too much merciless bloody scenes tho.. looked so real.. My rating, 3 / 5 star. I’m neutral about it cos I never watched any Rambo movies. heh.

29th Jan ‘08 :

Change. Just Friends for now.

You might wonder how I manage to recall a whole month of activities.. well, I got a little notebook which I write my activities on everyday.. with limited space, I still manage to scribble tiny texts enough for me to view!!

The Red Packet

Wooo hooooooo!!! My first Ang Pow for 2008!!! Noice~~

Its even got my name on it! hehehe

From my Big Boss.. He’s leavin for family vacation tomoz, meaning NO PRESSURE in office!!! kakakakaka.. Sweatin myself shit these 2 days cos He’s so often around, and the office got a lil more crowded with so many people meeting him up. This is what us Sabahans (or prolly even Malaysians) are very famous for, its always getting busy at the last minute before the holidays!!

Yea yea, everyones curious about the buck size in that packet!

RM 100 only maaa… I actually got a 100 more last year.. ah well.. poor job performance i guess? who cares! Woooo Hooo!!

Emperor Delights

I think I rarely talk about food and places to eat.. here’s to my first, i think..

After aerobics today, my mum had the nerve to invite me for a dinner treat.. so there goes my 45mins of hard work..!!

Brought me to Gaya Street downtown to this Mongolian Restaurant she calls it, and it was pretty alright..

Here’s wat I ordered from the menu. I think it was La Mien with Pork..

And this is Mum’s order.. its got some tofu in it..

We also ordered side dishes.. some kind of Mongolian or Emporer dim sum ;-p

And this is me, enjoying a mouthful of dim sum..

Hehehee.. bidaknyaa..

so here’s my fav shot at the restaurant..

if u notice, i was trying to catch a glimpse of the guy in between those things.. hahaha.. camera auto focus bah..

So here’s papam’s review of the place:-

Not too bad, price is about RM 8.00 – RM 12.00 per bowl of La Mien, place is comparatively clean, they have those glass kitchen windows as u can see from the pics showing how confident they are with their cleanliness of food handling.. Service was nice too, and pretty prompt.. so I’d say, 3.8 / 5 star rating..

my only complaint would be that the location was pretty hard to find parking for.. Food tasted not too bad, i mean, am not so picky when it comes to the taste of food but of course it didnt make me go “WOWZES”

Anyway, on the way back home from the restaurant, the streets were all deco-ed up..
